Austrian Biotech Industry (ABI) represents about 95 % of the Austrian valuecreation in the field of biotechnology.

The membership comprises as well-established companies in the field of biotechnology as young start-up companies.

The main fields of activity within the biotechnologies sectors are:

• health care biotech (red biotech) with the key activites of developping new drugs and therapies
• white biotech, which compriss multiple industrial applications and production processes for nearly all areas of life
